Mabon/Autumnal Equinox is a time when we begin to shift into darkness and hence go deeper inside ourselves to prepare for the winter. This is also the time to plant the seeds for the return of spring and the fruitfulness of summer, for what we do now gives us the bounty we enjoy later. The reference to Mabon in association with the Autumnal Equinox has no historical basis, although modern Witches use this Celtic figure to represent the season. His legend tells the story of his abduction and being hidden in an Otherworld before being rescued. Autumn is a season of gratitude for all that is in our lives. Strive for balance on this day of equal light and dark. Put fresh, red apples on your altar and walk in nature to feel the changes in the air. The energies of change are bountiful now, so take advantage of this by initiating changes that need to happen in your life. Seek to understand yourself where you are right now, take note of how you've changed over the years, and seek to discover the aspects of the self and your life that must change going forward in order to get to where you want to be. Shed outmoded ways of being and consider what you do today as shaping your future.

Question:
My
family and I frequently get the same idea at the same time even though we
are miles apart at the time. For example, I was looking at a car
online and my father called at that moment and said he was looking at a
car for me. They were the exact same car!
Another time, I went to make dinner
reservations for my family and at the exact same time my brother was
calling the same restaurant for the same reason (the hostess told me he
was on the phone). My dad says it's a coincidence, but I think it's
precognition or telepathy. What do you think is happening? Answer: It's really wonderful when you have such a close connection with others that allows you to share energy between you. While some people call it coincidence, it is really a congruent energy that is felt between you and someone you're close to simultaneously. You're picking up each other's thoughts and ideas, so in a way it is a telepathic connection. It's all about energy exchange and connection. This happens to people when they feel emotionally attached to someone or when they have a long-term relationship such as parents and children, siblings, couples, or best friends. Take notice when these instances of simultaneous connections occur and make a note of the circumstances - what the topic was, any emotions around it, common themes associated with it - and see if there is a combination of variables that makes the likelihood greater that it will happen. Experiment to see if you can predict when it will happen and what the occurrence will pertain to.
