Forest Witch Commentary:
On the Verge I recently exhibited at a wonderful event called KarmaFest. I was amazed at the uplifting energy of the attendees, organizers, and vendors. Many of the folks who came to my booth shared stories of their personal journeys. What I found most astounding was how close to coming into their power they were, yet they could not see the value they brought to themselves and to those around them. So much talent, compassion, and sincere desire to make the world a better place was waiting to burst forth, yet was blocked by fear and doubt. Some of these folks who were on the verge of self-awareness had readings done and through that mechanism, it was revealed where their purpose and passion resides. It created a shift that allowed them a renewed sense of inspiration and motivation to pursue the path of personal power. For some, the revelations created a deeper understanding and a confirmation of what they had been feeling all along - they just needed to hear it from another source. It was exciting and inspiring for me to see the light go on, the clouds part, and the limits shed. The sense of empowerment and possibility was tangible, and all it took was a shift by way of a reading. I was honored to be part of their journey and in facilitating the movement toward their karmic destiny. Those of you reading this who were a part of that magical moment, stay true to yourself and know that what you have come into this life to accomplish is a gift to the world. Relaxation is transformative. Sometimes we just need a break - from our daily routine, from familiar environments, from our thoughts, from ourselves. One of the best ways to do that is to break away from the norm and experience something new. It can be something simple like taking a walk in a park you've never been to or taking a different way home. It can be about shutting off your mind for a bit and taking a break from the constant chatter. It can be drastic like touring Europe for several weeks. It can be something in between like a relaxing week-long cruise ;-). Whatever you decide, remember that it's important to incorporate relaxation into your schedule. In our workaholic society, it's so easy to forget that we need to take some time for ourselves, step back, and rejuvenate. In a relaxed state, our minds can conjure amazing ideas that would not have had a voice in the din of the ceaseless stream of thoughts. This is what meditation is about, and that is akin to taking a mini vacation, but on a grander scale, it's important to change your physical surroundings as well.
