Creating a Book of Shadows is a ritual to itself for the wonderful witches
at Witches Moon. They light the incense & candles, cleanse & bless
the room & use a fabulous fragrant blessing oil when done. That is the
sweet smell you will find when you open your book.
Each one is made in a unique way, and they never touch the books if they are sick or having a bad day, as they do not believe in getting any negative energy upon your tome. Every book is cleansed and blessed and made ready to receive your blessings and lifetime of work. Like the Grimoires of old, these amazing large books feature parchment pages (blank), marble paper interior pages (cover & back), three or more large ribbon book marks, and a cover & spine that look like the days of old. These books are all handmade, using a thick archival thread to bind the pages together, a special archival glue to hold the pages within the inside of the cover, and the highest quality leather. These books are so strong they can be held up by the cover alone! There is no extra charge to change the leather color or simple design (i.e., if you want a Pentagram instead of Triquetra). These books are made for actual everyday use, not just display. They are easily able to be used/written in; You can push on it and it will not damage the spine or cover. On Books that are sewn & glued, not hand bound, pages can fall out over time and as you press on it, you can actually stress the binding further. The unique binding style used by Witches Moon is a trade secret and allows you to use your book for years to come without mishap. Along with your new book, you will receive a limited warranty card as well as care instructions, and what to do about adding pages (a service we provide). Along with this warranty card you have our guarantee that should there be something you do not like about it when it arrives, please email us immediately the situation, and we will be happy to fix it for you. If the situation requires it, the entire book will be remade. (Because these are custom made we can not offer refunds.) Please keep in mind that it is possible for a book to take 4 to 6 months to create Please note this is business days, not Saturdays a d Sundays. Please also keep in mind that, as these are custom made, in rare cases they can be delayed even further than 8 weeks. Our books are not stock items which means you have the ability to create it anyway you want. We do not stock these Books.
