The accuracy of your intuitive guidance may even scare you and you
want to understand it better.
This is your Inner Magick. It
is part of who you are and nothing to be afraid of.
You have magick within you. I'm not talking about the illusionist -
magic spelled with a "c," I'm talking about magick with a "k," wherein you
have the freedom to be yourself, use your gifts, and serve those you care
about in extraordinary ways.
Tapping into your intuitive wisdom allows you to get a deeper
understanding of your core self.
As a child, I always wanted to be magickal.
I was fascinated by stories about witches, fairies, genies, and
other magickal beings. I
wished I could wave my hand or wiggle my nose and manifest whatever I
wanted and help people overcome their problems.
Hereditary or not, the path to the Self requires diligent work and
practice. I read everything I could get my hands on regarding the
practice of magick, metaphysics, and the paranormal, hoping to find the
key to open my abilities. I
had moments and periods of intuitive lucidity, wherein I'd hear what
people were thinking, knew the phone would ring, and could download
insights for friends who were seeking guidance.
Yet there was no consistency.
I could not tap into this guidance at will, nor could I figure out
what prompted it to happen in the first place.
I tried to decipher the formula that would allow me to open when I
needed to, but the mechanism illuded me.
During a particularly difficult period in my life, I had a Reiki
session with the Master who would become my Reiki teacher.
He told me that I was very powerful.
My state of mind at that point in my life did not allow me to
believe that. I certainly
wasn't feeling very powerful at the time.
I asked him to tell me in what way I was powerful, and he said that
I had to find out for myself.
In all tales of magick, in order to release their Inner Magick, the
magickal being had to overcome personal challenges, was required to let go
of behaviors and beliefs that were blocking them, and get rid of fear,
doubt, and worry. They had to
trust themselves and open to their intuitive guidance.
Essentially, they had to get out of their own way.
They possessed the magickal ability, but could not come fully into
their power until they made significant changes within themselves.
A good example of this is Luke Skywalker from the
Star Wars movie who, under the
guidance of Jedi Master Yoda, was able to release his Inner Magick and
fully come into his power when he overcame his self-doubt and fear and
ultimately believed in himself.
He had the advantage of using his light saber as an indicator of
how strong his Inner Magick was.
You have your life as a gauge of your power � Are you manifesting
what you desire? Are your
relationships healthy? Can you
stay centered when challenged?
Do you believe in yourself?
But it took a long time before I understood how to tap into and
direct the powerful energies and capabilities within me.
I continued to have sporadic abilities, with peaks occurring in the
autumn months.
I did not talk about it with most people, because they became
fearful and said that it was evil.
It is sad that a natural, God-given ability is misconstrued as
malefic by some. This is most
likely the reaction you fear should you reveal your own gifts.
It does not have to be that way.
In 1986, I took an intuitive tarot reading class, which created a
major breakthrough for me and allowed me to consistently use my intuitive
gifts. It was the tool that
helped me channel energy in a way that let me tap into the available
information around people and situations at will.
And I knew I had even more work to do to continue my development
and to get to the next level.
So I took the next step and entered graduate school to study
clinical psychology, hoping that with this new knowledge I could enhance
the depth of the readings I offered to my clients.
The training I received to earn my Masters degree definitely added
a new dimension to my understanding and the way that I could serve others.
Even then, I was not finished, for we are always a work in
progress.
In 1995, I had enough of feeling out of control and unable to
create the life I wanted, so I ended a confining relationship, changed
jobs, and relinquished a long-held goal that did not serve my ultimate
vision of how I wanted to help others.
Over the next few years, I did the work necessary to become a Reiki
Master, including a lot of clearing of old stuff that was holding me back
and blocking the flow of energy to its fullest capacity.
The shift in energy I experienced with each attunement changed my
perspective and enabled me to see and feel energy around people, things,
and situations in ways I never expected.
I could see objectively, without the emotional component that
blocked my progress in the past.
With each outmoded aspect of my life that I removed, each time I
refused to participate in the drama of others, every time I stood my
ground from a position of objectivity rather than emotionality, I freed
myself from all that was obsolete in my life.
As I cleared the lower level vibrations that had blinded me up
until then, I began to trust my inner guidance and could move forward with
calm certainty.
I began to believe in myself.
I felt my Inner Magick
released.
The clouds parted, and I felt
a surge of energy.
During my years working in a corporate environment for a Fortune
100 company, I was sought after by senior leadership for readings about
the potential for certain projects and political drama, Reiki treatments
for stress and pain, and for insights regarding energy exchanged between
people during meetings. My
credibility as a contributor doing my regular work creating national
selection and development programs was not compromised as a result of the
intuitive guidance and protection I was providing to the company leaders.
In fact, there was an additional trust factor on many levels due to
the accuracy and help I provided in navigating the political waters of
corporate.
For you as a leader in your own life, you do not have to advertise
your abilities in these areas, but there is no reason to hide them to the
point of neglect and lack of development.
There is much good you can do with your intuitive gifts, and it
certainly cannot hurt to have insights beyond the norm in challenging life
and work situations.
In my lifelong study and practice of the esoteric arts, I have come
to recognize that magick is not held in a ritual or a tool such as a wand
or a deck of tarot cards, but rather, the true power, the real magick, is
hidden within us. That's why
true magick and its practice is based in self-knowledge, the development
of personal will, and connection to the Divine Will, which allows us to
have the confidence to create our life any way we choose.
They have no one
to talk to about what they are sensing, to understand their gifts and how
to use them. They struggle
with the inner conflict of skepticism about their gifts, but on some level
knowing they possess abilities beyond their understanding. I see these
amazing qualities in people who have spent many hours devoted to
self-development, but not to the development of their own unique Inner
Magick. I can see the major
blocks in their way and have been successful
in freeing them to grow to their full potential.
My gift is the ability to see in them what they cannot see for
themselves and guide them get past the obstacles standing in the way of
coming fully into their Inner Magick. I
work with those who are ready to take the next step in their development,
clear the blocks, discover what their own unique magick is, and how to
release it.
You, too, have opportunities to release your Inner Magick in every
aspect of your life: at work, in your business, in your relationships, in
your personal development, in your purpose, and in the way you serve
others. By deciding to take
steps toward your personal evolution, you raise the vibration of the
