Tap Into The Energies of the Winter Solstice

The Winter Solstice is a magickal time, a time of reflection and introspection.  It begins the season of quiet and withdrawal, where meditation and study prevail over outward activity.  The Winter Solstice is the darkest day of the year before we welcome the returning light.

There is an additional magick to the Full Moon of  the Winter Solstice on December 21, 2010, because the lunar eclipse happening at 3:17 am EST brings with it the vibration of letting go of the things that no longer serve you.  It is a time of completion and finishing projects you've already started.  Gather information and ponder the possibilities to see how best to move forward in your life and your work.

Releasing the old is the best way to take advantage of this energy, for by doing so, you are making room for new energies to enter, bringing inspiration and a new perspective.  Your awareness of what you want and don't want will likely increase during this time, allowing you to see the ideal direction you need to take.

The energies of December 21st support the search for self and for purpose only if you are open to it.  Now is the time to make the decision about which behaviors, traditions, beliefs, or paths you will follow or not follow if you truly want to upgrade your direction to the real reason you came into this life.

Your path is unique and must be treated as such.  It is time to consider whether doing things the old way, or because it is the way others have found success, is the true path for you to find your direction and purpose.

I encourage you to use this amazing energy to do a deep dive into yourself, where you've been, and what you want.  To celebrate the Winter Solstice, here are some journaling questions you can use to explore your life.  Pull back from the holiday activity, grab your journal, light a candle, and revere the sacred darkness of the Winter Solstice as you reflect on the past and imagine the future.

1. What am I endeavoring to manifest now in my life?

2. How can I change my thought patterns to empower my goals?

3. What old connections could I release now, for my highest good?

4. Where can I turn for the best sources of inspiration and solutions?

5. What wisdom is seeking to reveal itself to me at this time?

6. What are the best ways to refresh myself, physically, emotionally, and spiritually?

7. What are my special gifts?

8. What does my ideal life look like?

9. What new idea has seeded itself this winter, and how can I best nurture it to fruition?

10. What are the imprisoning fears, relationships, and/or beliefs that I feel ready to release?

11. What kind of life/environment can I create to experience serenity?

12. What parts of me will awaken as the rebirth of spring arrives?

13. How can I best focus on the blessings of the season?

14. How can I turn negatives into positives?

15. What path would be for my highest good and the highest good of others?

16. What am I meant to do in this lifetime?

17. How can I best express my purpose in my work?

18. What seems to be holding me back from pursuing my ideal life/work?

19. What are the top three things I'd like to change for 2011?

20. What doubts are preventing me from making needed changes?

21. What can I do to begin making these changes right away?

As you consider these questions, you can simply contemplate, use your favorite divination tool, meditate on each question, ask Spirit for guidance, or get someone you trust to be objective to assist you in clarifying the answers.  Getting clear is the key to moving forward with confidence.  Once you answer these questions, then create an action plan to manifest the ideas that come through during this exercise.

Whatever method you use for this exercise, it is important to take the time to answer honestly.  If the answer to any of these questions is "I don't know," then it's time to make a powerful choice to find the answers and take the necessary steps to get moving toward a passionate, fulfilling life and express it in your work.  I invite you to contact me if I can assist you in finding and living your True Calling!

Many blessings for a safe and happy holiday season and an abundant New Year!
